Stefan’s new single Never Let Go is another punchy piece of pop music that sits comfortably with his best musical releases.
The track is guitar-heavy. Its production is Americanised and is polished to perfection by Sven Lõhmus who worked with Stefan on his previous single Miraaž.
Echoing and reverbing guitars create the initial hook and tease the nature of the track. But just like Hope, it’s Stefan’s exhilarating voice that gives Never Let Go its ultimate melody.
The Estonian version, Kiri Külmkapi Peal, released at the same time on a double A-side, is just as rewarding. Naturally, Stefan is more at home in his native tongue.
Saying this track is a punchy piece of pop music might have been a blunder, this is rock music.
