Systur’s first single release since Með Hækkandi Sól is a story of beautiful yet heartbreaking love tenderly told. 

Dusty Road is sung entirely in English with the track beginning so pleasingly reminiscently. Singing about the dusty road “where I first laid eyes on you”. The story is sweet until “one day things turned grey”. Further through the track it becomes clearer and clearer those grey days turned black. 

The music is magical in its simplicity. A solitary acoustic guitar is the backbone of the composition, helped only in the chorus by one more. The three ladies’ vocals bounce off each other almost so perfectly that their harmonies sound manufactured.
