Natalia Barbu’s Eurovision return is In The Middle. Of the road.
Getting through just the first verse is a chore. Barbu presents some of the cheesiest and cheapest lyrics in existence.
The chorus, however, is a total gear change. It sounds so far removed from what came before it, even if the hook is just a bunch of repetitive ta-ta-tas, ra-ra-ras and du-du-dus. But she sings it well, and the dark production gives the song an edginess.
There is little, if nothing, else of note. It’s cheap and choreful.
