Lithuania: Silvester Belt – Luktelk Review

The hype for Silvester Belt’s Luktelk that lives inside the Eurovision echo chamber is deafening. Venture outside of it and there’s a stunning realisation that the hype exists only within its walls.

Luktelk is such an unengaging composition. Its initial verse is trying to play with a veil of mystery, but it’s just not mesmerising enough. Granted, it’s only a verse. But the chorus is just so bland too.

I’ve had more enjoyment from a yawn than I have from this song.
